You don't turn 750 years old every year. You want to celebrate that occasion with as many people as possible; with Amsterdammers, and everyone who carries the city in their heart. That's why on the 21 June 2025, the longest day, we celebrate the 750th birthday of the city on 15 kilometers of car-free highway ring A10. This will be one of the highlights of the anniversary year Amsterdam 750.

Ode to Mokum (55+ Song Contest) - Grande Finale - Theater Amsterdam

Amsterdam exists for 750 years, and this will be celebrated with a special edition of the Elderly Song Contest. Every person over age 55 can participate as a soloist, a duo, or a trio. The participant chooses the song. Any genre is welcome, in any language. There is only one condition: the song must be about Amsterdam. You don't feel like competing? Come join the audience.

Great Amsterdam Street Football Tournament

In the anniversary year, Amsterdam will host the largest street football tournament in the city. Young Amsterdammers (aged 10 to 15) can participate for free at various locations throughout the city.
