Open Tower Day

The special edition of Open Tower Day will take place in June 2025. 
On this day, historic and contemporary towers in Amsterdam open their doors to the public. Symposiums / various lectures are also given, for example about the tower of the Nieuwe Kerk that was never built or about the residential towers of the future. During Open Tower Day, the guidelines of the RIVM regarding corona are observed. This means, among other things, that registration will take place via the website.

That's why on the 21 June 2025, the longest day, we celebrate the 750th birthday of the city on 15 kilometers of car-free highway ring A10. This will be one of the highlights of the anniversary year Amsterdam 750.

Ode to Mokum (55+ Song Contest) - Grande Finale - Theater Amsterdam

Amsterdam exists for 750 years, and this will be celebrated with a special edition of the Elderly Song Contest. Every person over age 55 can participate as a soloist, a duo, or a trio. The participant chooses the song. Any genre is welcome, in any language. There is only one condition: the song must be about Amsterdam. You don't feel like competing? Come join the audience.
