Every year in January, Amsterdam officially kicks off the tulip season during National Tulip Day. In 2025, National Tulip Day will return to the city for the 12th edition. Dutch tulip growers invite everyone to pick a bunch of tulips for free in a specially created picking garden. In 2025, National Tulip Day will be dedicated to celebrating Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary. A tulip picking garden with 200,000 tulips has been created on Museumplein in Amsterdam. The picking garden will open at 1 p.m. and everyone can pick a free bunch of tulips.
