KAIROS_LUX ÆTERNA is a multimedia installation by Susanna Brenner at the Grote of Laurenskerk in Weesp from November 22-24. The work is part of the festival The Spirit of Amsterdam, celebrating 750 years of Amsterdam. The opening is at 3:00 PM on November 22. On November 23 at 3:00 PM, a ritual will be held, led by Felix Ritter (dramaturg) and Siri Brenner (soprano).

Inspired by the Christian labyrinth

From November 22-24, artist Susanna Brenner transforms the Grote or Laurenskerk in Weesp with her unique multimedia art installation KAIROS_LUX ÆTERNA. This immersive sculpture of wire, color, and light hangs in the church’s choir, where it evokes the mysticism and history of this sacred space.

Inspired by the Christian labyrinth, Brenner’s work weaves themes of time, spirituality, and connection, inviting visitors to reflect on their own inner journey.

The wire sculptures represent the bonds that unite us, while the layered soundscape creates an auditory tapestry, offering a multisensory, powerful, and immersive experience.
