Hotmamahot 2GO

Hotmamahot Catering has been active as a creative caterer since 2011. They gained great fame by organizing pop-up guerrilla restaurants in various places in and around Amsterdam. In recent years they have mainly been active as festival caterers at De Parade, Lowlands, Woo Hah, Best Kept Secret and Down The Rabbithole, among others.

Fromagerie Abraham Kef

Kef, a cheese shop located in the city centre, now also has a location – with terrace – in Noord. Here you can sip a glass of good wine while you sample a fine cheese platter, complete with olives and pâtés from De Pasteibakkerij.

Circular bicycles from an inclusive workplace

Roetz believes in second chances – both for bikes and people. This social enterprise creates new, modern (electric) bicycles from discarded bike frames. And in the Fair Factory, people who have struggled with finding employment train to become experienced bicycle mechanics with better prospects for a permanent job.

Woodies aT BerLin

As well as beautiful wooden furniture handmade by the owner’s husband, you’ll find a tasteful smattering of vintage – and plenty
of interiors inspiration.

Pek & Kleren

Pek & Kleren is a concept store in Amsterdam's north. Started by Freya Brown and Marike Holla after 13 years working in the fashion industry, the pair have opened a store on the Van der Pekstraat. The self-designed shop stocks clothing for men and women along with jewelry, homewares, gift items, plants and even detergent.

Landmarkt

This ‘covered marketplace’ succeeds in combining the best of city and country, with regular supermarket premium brands sitting alongside farmer’s market products, such as local cheese, meat and fish.

Van Dijk & Ko

Find quality handmade furniture and antique treasures sourced from around Europe at Amsterdam's Van Dijk & Ko. The expansive warehouse is located in Amsterdam Noord near fellow design store (and friend of the company), Neef Louis. New items arrive constantly, including a fantastic selection of cabinets, sideboards, dressers, chests and glassware.

Kringloopwinkel De Lokatie

Sniff out a bargain at recycling organisation De Lokatie, which offers two stores in North. The expansive branch on Distelweg covers no less than 2,000m², complete with a coffee corner.

Zorgboerderij Ons Verlangen

Just pull it from a wall ‘automaat’: milk, cheese, yoghurt, and other dairy products. This unique concept, which translates as “Care Farm Our Desires”, just north of Amsterdam North, not only offers a high-tech way to buy produce, but it also offers employment to those who need more personalised guidance. Cows and sheep are also usually on-hand for a chat.

Neef Louis

Lovers of vintage design will be lured in by Neef Louis’ eclectic collection of retro furniture, industrial lamps, Dutch Design icons and mid-century treasures. Browse the expansive shop floor for interior objects and inspiration.

Van der Pekmarket

The market on the Van der Pekstraat in Amsterdam North is a combination of contemporary and new with authentic and familiar. It is a bustling market where both the bargain hunter and the connoisseur feel at home.

Buikslotermeerplein Market

In the city center of Amsterdam Noord, you will find the nicest market in this district. Under the smoke of the large shopping center Boven 't Y. On this market you will find almost everything you need in the Food and Non-Food area. The market takes place Tuesdays to Saturdays.
