About Grupo Cena 11

Grupo Cena 11 has been around since 1995 and is known as a group of rebellious punks who liberate their dance from rules, call it 'anarchist choreography', to music that varies from hard beats to live piano. In addition to AI and technology, language and text projections enhance their energetic dance style.

With their latest performance, the group of seven dancers and a pianist led by Alejandro Ahmed responds to the work of the anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro, who wrote about the Brazilian population in the 1990s ( O povo Brasileiro ). What is identity, and what is culture, especially in a country where people with many different cultures and backgrounds live together? With new questions and movements, Eu não sou só eu em mim ('I am not only me in myself') shows that the Brazilian identity is unique in its fluidity and constant change.
