Amsterdam, dynamic city full of rich history, diverse culture and vibrant art scene. From world-famous canals to iconic markets and vibrant festivals, there is always something to discover in this city affectionately called "Mokum" by the residents who are and make the city. Since reopening the city in 2022, it is hugely important to encourage Amsterdam residents to (re)discover their own neighborhoods and the city. The residents' campaign "Discover all that makes Amsterdam Mokum" has therefore been deployed continuously throughout the year. In addition to residents rediscovering neighborhoods, the campaign also contributes to the recovery of the arts and culture sector as well as the hospitality industry and local entrepreneurs.
The "Discover Everything That Makes Amsterdam Mokum" campaign is an initiative of the City of Amsterdam to highlight the city's unique features and highlights and inspire residents to look beyond the familiar places. Whether you are interested in history, diversity, art or just want to taste the city's unique atmosphere, Amsterdam has something for everyone. This is demonstrated in part by media portrayals of typical Amsterdam features and residents using social media to show fellow residents around their favorite spots in the city.
