Making Vinyl Europe, the only business conference of its kind in Europe, is set to take place in Haarlem, Netherlands, from September 30 to October 2, 2024. This event marks its highly anticipated return as a continuation of the global celebration of vinyl culture initiated by its American counterpart held in Nashville this June.
Participants at Making Vinyl Europe will experience a comprehensive program designed to delve into the intricate aspects of the vinyl industry. The conference will cover the latest in manufacturing technologies, sustainable practices, and market dynamics. Industry leaders will convene to exchange insights into production challenges and innovations that are shaping the future of vinyl.
The afternoon of the first day, Monday 30th September, will focus on a newly designed B2B matchmaking event, where attendees can meet and discuss dedicated topics in smaller groups and a more casual atmosphere. The event is designed to focus an several aspects of the value chain and more in-depth discourse over issues, obstacles and approaches. Further to this the Haarlem-based, renowned pressing plant Record Industry will open their doors for visits and tours on the 30th September. The following days will present a series of engaging panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and keynote speeches from a diverse group of industry experts. These sessions are crafted to provide attendees with the knowledge and tools required to thrive in the rapidly evolving vinyl market, from mastering and pressing techniques to navigating complex distribution channels. This year’s focus will be cultural and artistic aspects of the vinyl community and new developments in sustainability and ethical approaches in manufacturing.
As the premier platform for vinyl professionals in Europe, Making Vinyl Europe is dedicated to fostering a community where industry challenges are addressed collaboratively. The event not only supports the growth and innovation of its participants but also reinforces the enduring legacy of vinyl as a beloved musical medium.
More than a professional gathering, Making Vinyl Europe offers a unique celebration of the artistic and cultural dimensions of vinyl. It is certain that this event is not only about demonstrating and learning but also about discussing and questioning. A platform is emerging here for all those who want to share, experience and engage in meaningful exchanges of ideas.
The event organizers look forward to welcoming attendees to the culturally vibrant city of Haarlem near Amsterdam for a memorable and enriching experience.
European Conference Director Andreas Kohl hints at this year’s focus of the conference:
In proximity of time to the Haarlem Vinyl Festival the goal is to incorporate all aspects of cultural expression connected and driven by vinyl. Whether you make records, you are a mastering or cutting engineer, an artist, a label, a journalist or record store owner we’d like to see you. In 2024 we would emphasize on celebrating the soul-stirring power of music and the enduring legacy of vinyl.”
After the positive experience last year, the team cannot imagine a better venue than PHIL to host the conference – a 19th century classical concert hall with modern multifunctional spaces. More details on the program and speakers will be announced soon.
