The new location houses both European operations and the new Canon Medical Academy Europe, which is poised to play a pivotal role in nurturing talent and fostering collaboration within the medical field.
The academy features 17 training rooms, helping to advance education in optimising patient pathways and outcomes when utilising clinical imaging solutions. Built with sustainability in mind
The building itself has been designed with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. The company has implemented several eco-conscious measures, including the reuse of water from cooling equipment for building heating, energy-saving technologies like LED lighting, and the automation of screens to shut off during periods of inactivity. An extensive electric Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) backup system and CO2 ventilation sensors have also been integrated to ensure more efficient energy use.
The Amsterdam Area supports innovative ambitions
The move to Amstelveen aligns with Canon Medical Systems Corporation's proactive approach to the future, allowing the company to accommodate a new way of working that prioritises ergonomics, collaboration, and adaptability. This strategic choice places the headquarters within the Amsterdam Area, a highly connected hub known for its contributions in life sciences and health.
