Lapsi Health

Founded by a team of physicians and technologists, Lapsi Health has built a platform that translates the body's natural signals. Often, the diagnosis of an underlying medical condition can be too late. Lapsi’s tools focus on the potential of sound acquisition and analysis in detecting the early stages of diseases. Its AI platform for sound analysis uses advanced hardware to capture sound data, and when connected to the cloud, its AI algorithms process this data for specific clinical applications. Keikku is the latest MedTech device from Lapsi, a stethoscope that is revolutionising the traditional healthcare tool.

Pacmed

Many healthcare facilities are understaffed and often underfunded creating pressure on existing staff. Pacmed leverages AI to support Dutch healthcare by streamlining bedside care, promoting faster and safer patient recovery, and alleviating pressure on understaffed ICU teams. Pacmed, founded in 2014, leverages clinical data for societal benefit and uses AI to provide personalised insights for healthcare professionals. They formed a 10-year partnership with the Amsterdam University Medical Center and collaborated with nearly all Dutch ICUs and health insurers.

Castor

Castor is on a mission to make storing medical data easy with eClinical solutions. Usually, medical information is stored on multiple separate platforms by different healthcare providers making access and clarity difficult. Castor is capturing all data in a single and secure system. The platform simplifies decentralised clinical trials by integrating data from various sources, offering real-time monitoring, and providing dedicated support to ensure efficient, high-quality study management.

Kepler Vision Technologies

Kepler Vision Technologies is a company specialising in AI and computer vision, focusing on enhancing healthcare efficiency. Their flagship product, Kepler Night Nurse, is designed to ensure patient safety in healthcare facilities, excelling in fall detection and prevention. In late 2023, Kepler launched an AI system for monitoring patients' lying positions to reduce the risk of pressure ulcers. Currently, they are testing features for detecting wandering and aggressive behaviour, prioritising privacy and security.

Aidence

Aidence is dedicated to improving outcomes for lung cancer patients through AI. Their mission is to provide intelligent software that enables healthcare and pharmaceutical professionals to deliver faster, more accurate diagnostics and treatments avoiding long waiting times for patients. Aidence believes that data is crucial for advancing disease prevention, management, and treatment. Their team includes experts in data science, software engineering, medicine, regulation, and business.

SkinVision

SkinVision is a regulated medical service that enhances skin health management by enabling users to self-examine their skin and recognise when to seek further action. Skin cancer detection was always done by a General Practitioner or dermatologist, SkinVision uses an AI-driven app, certified as a CE-marked medical device, to provide accurate skin cancer detection and personalized skin health advice. Validated in clinical studies and ISO-certified for quality and data security, it combines AI with dermatology expertise for reliable, secure analysis.

Ellogon.AI

Ellogon.AI helps medical professionals identify suitable patients for cancer immunotherapy, making the process quicker and more accurate. Ellogen.AI believes AI will be crucial in converting complex, "super-human" patterns into practical insights. They do this through rapid and precise quantification of biomarkers (a biological molecule in blood, body fluids, or tissues that indicates a normal or abnormal process, condition, or disease) using advanced deep-learning technology, developed in collaboration with the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI).

Confocal.nl

Confocal.nl offers accessible, improved live-cell imaging with super-resolution at low laser power, ideal for extended live-cell studies. Their Re-scanning Confocal Microscope (RCM) delivers sharper images, and a larger field of view, and is user-friendly, providing higher resolution and sensitivity than conventional confocal microscopes. The low laser intensity prevents phototoxicity and photobleaching, enabling long-term time-lapse imaging while preserving sample integrity.

Lumicks

LUMICKS is a leading provider of instruments for dynamic single-molecule and cell avidity analysis, enabling researchers to explore the relationship between structure and function at the molecular and cellular levels. By measuring forces in biological interactions, LUMICKS' tools allow real-time analysis of biological mechanisms, offering insights into disease causes and drug optimisation. Their technology is becoming a key approach in academic and pharmaceutical research, particularly for studying DNA-binding proteins, molecular motors, protein folding, and immune-cancer cell interactions.

Sigmascreening BV, a spin-off from the Academic Medical Center (AMC), develops patient-friendly breast cancer screening equipment. Their patented technology ensures optimal image quality with minimal radiation through a highly reproducible compression process that reduces unnecessary discomfort during mammography.

WSK Medical

WSK Medical is an AI software company dedicated to aiding clinical specialists in early cancer detection. They focus on developing advanced machine learning applications and creating sophisticated image recognition systems in collaboration with the medical community to improve early diagnosis and classification of cancer.

Inbiome

Inbiome combines machine learning with innovative chemistry to profile the bacterial microbiome throughout the human body using their proprietary Molecular Culture® technique. This method detects all bacterial DNA, creates unique barcodes, and employs an AI platform to identify bacteria within hours. They focus on developing rapid diagnostic products for bacterial infections and complete microbiome analysis, aiming to enhance preventive healthcare by enabling accurate and efficient bacterial detection.

Neogene Therapeutics B.V.

Neogene Therapeutics is a biotechnology company developing engineered T-cell receptor (TCR) therapies for solid cancers. T-cell receptors are proteins on immune cells that bind to specific antigens on abnormal, cancerous, or infected cells. Neogene creates personalised treatments targeting unique neoantigens in individual tumours using their proprietary platform to identify specific TCR genes. Their approach aims to make advanced, individualised T-cell therapies accessible for a broad spectrum of cancers.
