With 1,250+ exhibitors and 43,000 visitors from 170+ countries, IBC 2023 served as a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas, witnessing a 16% surge in attendance. The event spotlighted 'Transformative Tech,' 'Shifting Business Models' and 'People & Purpose,' addressing the evolving media landscape, social and environmental responsibility and the latest tech innovations.
This year’s program also included the Innovation Stage, the Owner Program, the Content Everywhere Program, and the Showcase Theatre. In addition to the core program, IBC highlighted endeavours addressing gender equality in broadcasting, sustainability, and inclusive tech through the groundbreaking Changemaker Program.
Empowering industry connections
Amsterdam's exceptional connectivity remains a compelling draw for conferences like IBC, especially those focused on the digital realm.
The city boasts one of the world's strongest internet backbones, anchored by the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX) enabling reliable broadband, high-speed internet, and a tech-savvy environment for seamless event hosting.

An established hub for IBC conferences year after year, Amsterdam is the perfect stage where tech leaders, startups, and global talent converge to drive innovation and reshape the global tech landscape. Known for its top-tier tech ecosystem, Amsterdam has clinched a position among the top three in Europe's tech realm, according to the 2023 Global Startup Ecosystem Report (GSER).

Supported by a robust business and knowledge infrastructure, Amsterdam seamlessly assimilates events like IBC into its dynamic tech ecosystem, further amplifying the conferences’ impact on a grand scale.
Amsterdam extends a warm welcome

Extending a warm welcome at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, ACB facilitated city marketing support, placing signage around the city and across key transport lines to the venue. For conference visitors, the ACB was on hand to arrange badge collection at the I amsterdam store to ensure a smooth start to their visit and remained readily available for inquiries through their information desk located within the RAI.
