Amsterdam hosts the premier haematology congress in Europe

From 13-16 June at the RAI Amsterdam conference centre, 11,000 medical professionals, researchers and scientists from around the world shared their knowledge and ideas. The choice of venue was ideal for the EHA, as the number of attendees was the largest it had ever recorded, with an increase of more than a thousand participants from its congress in 2018.

The four-day event combined a broad range of topics from the rapidly evolving field of haematology, including updates on the diagnosis and management of patients with blood disorders, as well as presentations on cutting edge research.

Connecting to the city’s Life Sciences and Health sector

Amsterdam is an ideal conference destination for Life Sciences and Health (LSH) associations. Delegates in the medical profession will feel at home in Amsterdam, surrounded by many world-renowned medical centres and research institutions, as well as the European Medicines Agency (EMA). The city’s dense ecosystem of hospitals, universities, innovative MedTech startups, and pharmaceutical companies makes it a great place to forge connections and collaborations.

How Amsterdam Convention Bureau supported the EHA

To give delegates a warm welcome, ACB created a welcome video at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and placed the iconic I amsterdam 3D letters in front of RAI Amsterdam. An outdoor advertising campaign was also instigated with MUPI panels in and around the city. This engaged the residents of Amsterdam and welcomed conference visitors. To help them get to know the city better, 2,000 AMS magazines were delivered, including tips on what to see and do during their trip.
