The Next Web 2022 attracts 10,000 attendees to shape the tech world of tomorrow
The Next Web (TNW) Conference made a welcome return to Amsterdam at Taets Art and Event Park from June 16-17, 2022. The two-day tech festival – dubbed the “Woodstock for innovators” – attracted 10,000 attendees from over 90 countries to explore how tech can help shape the world of tomorrow.

Covering a range of topics across 8 themes, TNW presented a program packed with startup battles, networking sessions, and over 150 industry pioneers leading talks on tech and money, human-centred AI to business scaling and sustainability. Since its founding in 2006, The Next Web has grown into a global brand, establishing itself as “the heart of tech”.
Support from the Amsterdam Convention Bureau
This year, the Amsterdam Convention Bureau, together with StartupAmsterdam and Smart Health Amsterdam, brought the Amsterdam Pavilion to TNW 2022. Amidst the bustling conference floor, the Amsterdam Pavilion provided attendees with a lounging area, fresh coffee and the opportunity to learn about the 12 Amsterdam-based startups pitching their business ideas during the daily Startup Pitch Hour.
Because of Amsterdam’s strong focus on collaboration and social connectivity, Amsterdam Convention Bureau is able to create opportunities for conference parties, meeting planners and attendees to connect with the city’s knowledge institutes, talent and businesses all within the local ecosystem– including the tech industry.
A leading tech hub

Large-scale game-changing events like TNW showcase the strength of Amsterdam’s technological environment and digital infrastructure. By granting associations and attendees a look at the city’s people-centred approach to technology, Amsterdam continues to collaborate with startups and international organisations to encourage innovation that will shape the capital’s—and the continent’s—future.
