Nature, Culture and heritage come together
As one of the oldest zoos in Europe, ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo is like a living museum. Each building, tree and exhibit tells a unique history. Many of the original structures are listed buildings; many spaces in these buildings are bookable for corporate and private events. The zoo's long history is an integral part of Amsterdam’s culture.
Historical meeting spaces with modern facilities
Venues in the North Pavilion of the Ledenlokalen building, such as The Blue Star Room are perfectly suited to smaller scale meetings and unforgettable parties. The Founders Room, Bamboo Room and Plane Tree Salon are connected by a courtyard and are bookable individually or combined for larger conferences and dinner receptions. The Kings Reception Room in combination with The Grand Entrance Hall or the palatial Aquarium, with its tranquil watery backdrop, are great options for grander occasions.
Discover the animal and botanical Kingdom
There are over 700 species of animals and 200 varieties of trees that call the ARTIS home. In recent years large scale renovations have created natural living environments for the animals. You can explore the wild savannah plains, the jungle and then marvel at aquatic animals in the aquarium.
A zoo and so much more
ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo is also home to the largest Planetarium in the Netherlands, a museum and a grand Library. The Café-restaurant de Plantage is perfect for both a business lunch and elegant dinner.
