In the summer of 2025, the Parade, the traveling theater festival with its colorful tents, terraces and restaurants, will return to the Martin Luther Kingpark and will set up its tents again in the 4 largest cities in the Netherlands: Eindhoven, The Hague, Utrecht and Amsterdam. Reggae Lake Festival

With no less than 6 stages, the Reggae Lake Festival is the largest reggae festival in the Netherlands. Damian Marley, Wayne Wonder and Jesse Royal will make the Gaasperpark unsafe for a weekend. Please note: the dates and times for 2025 are subject to change.

LatinVillage Festival

LatinVillage Festival 2025 will take place on Sunday August 17th, 2025. One day, the best music, the best vibes, and of course we want you, our LatinVillage Family, to be there to celebrate!

Hartjesdagen

Hartjesdag

Hartjesdag will return to the Zeedijk in August 2024 with a new edition. The Hartjesdag is a multi-day festival on the Zeedijk, one of the oldest streets in Amsterdam. On the third Monday in August, Hartjesdag was the carnival for Amsterdam and the surrounding area. Men dressed like women, and women wore men's clothes. It was the day that Amsterdammers went all out. Please note: Listed date and time for 2025 is subject to change.

SAIL Amsterdam

De Gulden Leeuw

SAIL Amsterdam occurs once every five years and is one of the city's largest events. The tenth edition is set to commence in August 2025. A massive fleet of large ships and various other special vessels sail across the IJ and dock near the city center. Sail 2025 coincides with two other significant anniversaries: the 50th anniversary of Sail (which was first organized in 1975) and the 750th anniversary of the city of Amsterdam. It's a triple celebration.

There are festivals and then there is Valtifest. In 2025 the festival will return for a 17th edition. It is time to enjoy an absurd and splashing party at Kaap Oost. The colorful Amsterdam City Festival that has a special theme every year with a matching crazy dress code!

Beach festival ZAND is an annual festival that has been organized on the beach of Almere since 2008. The beach festival attracts over 25,000 visitors each year. ZAND will return to the beach of Almere in the summer of 2025. NB: The stated start and end times are an indication and may still change.

Prinsengracht Concert

In 2025 this concert will return for the 43nd edition. One of the annual highlights of the Amsterdam summer is the Prinsengracht Concert, a spectacular classical music show on the water in front of the Hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam. During the Prinsengracht concert, thousands can enjoy beautiful music in boats and on the quay at the foot of the Westertoren. Please note: Listed dates and times for 2025 is subject to change.

Amsterdam Fringe Festival

Every year in September, Amsterdam Fringe Festival presents a mix mash of theatre, performance and dance from new, emerging and untamed talent for 11 days. The whole city is our playground; from boat to club to theater, from North to South, you will find us for 11 days at about 24 locations throughout Amsterdam. The festival is an ode to theatrical madness, the independent spirit and a plea for artistic freedom. The program promises another intriguing mix of performances. In 2025, the Dutch Theatre Festival will return with 11 days in 11 theatres across town. The most beautiful performances of the season will be shown again. It is specially selected for you by seven professional juries in the Netherlands and Flanders. Theatre, cabaret, youth theatre, mime, performance, new makers and more, such as NTF, the Talkshow and the Late Night Bar. See, hear and experience it during the Dutch Theatre Festival. Early September 2025, the tour boats and other vessels will once again make way for 3,000 brave swimmers (and another 250 juniors) for the Amsterdam City Swim. When registration for 2025 will open is not yet known.

On 13 and 14 September 2025, various monuments in Amsterdam will open their doors for free for Open Monument Day. Discover 'The  Architectural heritage during the 39th edition. Also explore hidden places above ground, such as clandestine churches, and listen to stories of squatters and graffiti artists.

Klassiek op het Amstelveld is an annual free open-air festival where the making and experiencing of classical music by and for the youth is central. The Dam tot Damloop is the largest running event in the Netherlands. Every year, about 35,000 people run 10 miles (16.1 km) from the heart of Amsterdam to Zaandam. The Damloop by night and Dam tot Damloop are always held in the penultimate weekend in September. The 39th edition of the Dam tot Damloop will start in 2025.
