The Damned

English punk rock band The Damned, along with bands like the Sex Pistols and The Clash, led the British punk movement in the 1970s. They were even the first UK punk band to release a single, 'New Rose'. Their fast punk rock is often cited as a major influence on the rise of hardcore punk in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

DRUK 2024

More than 100 publishers and makers from the Netherlands and Belgium will sell their art books, (translated) literary gems, poetry collections, self-publishing publications, literary non-fiction, unique (paper) objects, riso or screen prints at DRUK in all halls of Paradiso on Sunday, November 24, 2024.

Personal Trainer

It is no exaggeration to say that indie collective Personal Trainer has previously made history in Paradiso. The band previously played a 24-hour performance in the Grote Zaal during the livestream as a kind of reaction to the rather domestic pandemic year before. It was the ultimate proof of the humor and enthusiasm of the Amsterdammers, which you can also hear in their songs.

La Kamarade Class of '24

On Saturday 23 November, independent Amsterdam label La Kamarade will present their 'Class of 2024' in the Bovenzaal of Paradiso. This showcase highlights the bands the label has worked with the most in the past year. This year, they are post-punk band Cardigan Inn, Amsterdam krautrockers Dear Omens and Dutch-language altpop band Sakaram.

IST IST

IST IST are an English post-punk band with a distinctive and vintage sounding, dark sound. The 4-piece band formed in 2014 and was formed by Adam Houghton (vocals and guitar), Andy Keating (bass), Joel Kay (synthesizers) and Mat Peters (drums). They are inspired by post-punk and new wave from the 70s and 80s.

Scottish Walt Disco is a flamboyant group that brings back the new wave and glam rock of the 80s. Frontman and singer James Potter writes serious lyrics about self-exploration and love in the digital age, accompanied by a lot of synths.
