A.S.V. Gay (Amsterdam Gay Student Association)
The Amsterdamse Studentenvereniging Gay, or ASV Gay, is a student association for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer students in Amsterdam.
For LGBTQ students in Amsterdam
Founded in March 2010, the club has grown to more than 360 members. It hosts weekly drinks (where non-members are welcome, too) and organises plenty of events and activities such as parties and weekend trips. The association has its own boat in the Canal Parade at Amsterdam’s annual Pride weekend and even its own hockey team. In addition to all the fun, ASV Gay campaigns for LGbTQ rights and raises awareness for LGBTQ issues through symposia, charity posts, lectures and debates.
