This is how we provide education
The lessons at the Indonesian School have an international character, but are based on the Indonesian language and norms and values. The school has approximately 150 students from Indonesia, Thailand and the Netherlands. Interaction between students and between students and teachers is harmonious.
The Indonesian School is part of the Indonesian Embassy and the students follow the national curriculum of Indonesia. This curriculum consists of the Dutch language and international lessons such as foreign languages and science subjects. Most lessons are given in Indonesian, some in Dutch and English.
Students can also play football, basketball or tennis at school. They can also take music lessons in gamelan, traditional Indonesian music.
The Indonesian School also organizes courses that are open to anyone interested in Indonesian culture. Such as an Indonesian language course (bahasa Indonesia) and traditional Indonesian dance lessons.
