There is a fabulous view of the Westertoren from the small Café Wester.
The building itself dates from 1600 and has a sober decor with an old Belgian
bar and folding tables against the wall for when it gets busy. The clientele are
mostly thirty-somethings, many who live nearby or work in the Jordaan
neighbourhood. Sitting on the terrace you can watch the world go by: from
yuppies in a hurry racing along on their bikes to giant herons who flap down
hoping for a bite to eat.
