Restaurant Elixer

Restaurant Elixer has moved from Amsterdam's Bijlmer borough to the eastern part of the city. The interior of Elixer is made from recycled materials and furniture, and the ingredients partly come from our own Exemplary Food Garden. Part of the restaurant's profit is used for sustainable entrepreneurship and cultural projects in the neighbourhood.

At the intersection of circular and social

In addition to delicious lunch, drinks and dinner, you can also participate in cooking sessions and a swap market, and you can help out in the garden.

Elixer is a circular and social intersection in the Bijlmer. The goal is to make healthy eating, sustainability, and circular ideas accessible, attractive, and feasible; for and with the neighbourhood. Profit and proceeds are used for educational collaborations, neighbourhood projects, and green initiatives.

Everything is used in a sustainable way. From the vegetables of the food garden and leftovers in the kitchen to waste and water. The refurbished furniture is donated or bought cheaply through Marktplaats. Elixir likes to swap with items, but also with vegetable surpluses for the value of Elixir coins, daily price, time, or knowledge.

Please note: the kitchen closes at 9:30 PM.
