Exploring Amsterdam-West's Bucket List

ZID Theater welcomes you to Broedplaats BOUW for the exhibition 'My Bucket List for the City' in honour of the celebration of Amsterdam's 750th anniversary. The exhibition revolves around the question: what would you like to experience in Amsterdam West, for yourself and for the city? Even the most unlikely ideas are given a stage here and briefly become reality. It is a fascinating mix of past, present and imagination, where residents share their stories through images, spoken word and more.

Inspiring Dreams and Stories of Amsterdam West Residents

Numerous residents of Amsterdam West have been approached with the question: "What are your dreams for our neighbourhood?" Whether bold ideas or more traditional wishes, we wanted to discover what additions they had in mind to make our city even more attractive.

The exhibition includes personal stories and staged photos of participating residents of Amsterdam West.

Imagine a bucket list full of all your dreams and wishes, a list that gives your life even more colour and meaning. It goes beyond just a list; it symbolizes finding positive inspiration daily.

At ZID, we started looking for ways to make life in Amsterdam-West even more beautiful, meaningful, fun, and rich. We challenged our participants with questions such as: what would your ultimate bucket list include? Which places absolutely must be photographed?

With these questions, ZID wants to highlight the beautiful diversity of residents in Amsterdam West and show how they are connected in different ways.

On 27 October 2025, Amsterdam will celebrate its 750th anniversary, marking a year-long celebration. Starting on 27 October 2024, a jubilee year full of activities for all Amsterdammers begins.
