(+ Supplementary Fee)

(+ Supplementary Fee)
Inspired by the dynamics of global cities like New York, and increasingly Amsterdam, this exhibition explores how money plays a central role in daily life and how consumers have to pay extra for every little comfort. Want a glass of tap water in a restaurant? Pay a supplementary fee. Eight centimeters more legroom on the plane? Pay a supplementary fee. Your online order delivered a day earlier? Pay a supplementary fee. An Uber that picks you up four minutes earlier? Pay a supplementary fee.
At (+ Supplementary Fee), visitors are asked to pay a fee to activate and view the individual artworks in the exhibition. By making a financial contribution, they get the ultimate experience and directly support the continuation of Thordur Hans Baldursson's artistic practice and the program of Nieuw Dakota.
