Freedom

In celebration of Amsterdam's 750th anniversary, we reflect on our understanding of freedom and its significance to us. Freedom is deeply intertwined with Amsterdam, which served as a safe haven for free thinkers and dissenters in the 17th century. In collaboration with the Municipality of Amsterdam, BIMHUIS, and Podium Mozaïek, De Balie organizes the Free Thinkers Festival for the fifth consecutive year. From 27 October to 2 November, various programs including debates, theatre, and other art forms will explore this theme. Keep an eye on De Balie's channels for updates.
