Synopsis
When fate brings bored music teacher JJ together with friends Naoise and Liam Óg, it’s the beginning of an unprecedented Irish hip-hop act. Rapping in their native tongue, rebellious rap trio Kneecap break through in Belfast and quickly become the figureheads of a civil rights movement aimed at saving the Irish language. As public debate erupts, police and politicians do their utmost to silence the anarchist trio. In this wildly original sex, drugs and hip-hop biopic, KNEECAP play themselves and issue a global rallying cry in defense of their cultural heritage.
