75 professionals from Holland and abroad gather in the capital. `De Kromhouthal` will be filled with modern vintage furniture from the mid-century. Design Icons is the once a year chance to see such a huge collection of iconic designs in one place. Nowadays we are so used to online shopping, that it's a pleasure to actually test a sofa for comfort, feel the leather, peek into cabinets and chat with the seller to hear more about the history of the pieces. 

Eames shells are expected next to early Bauhaus designs, fifties Pastoe cabinets next to Scandinavian classics. The greatest midcentury icons will be standing next to affordable vintage furniture. Good news for those who fall in love: all is for sale and can be brought home the same day. 

The impressive former marine engine factory `De Kromhouthal` is located on the North Shore of the River IJ and gives a stunning view of the passing boats and the city center. 

From the city center it's a 10 min. drive to the location. Or take the free ferry from the central station and make the 15 minutes walk past the shore to get to Design Icons!

For those who love to be the first, the preview during stand build-up starts on Saturday at 12:00. Tickets are sold via the website.
