A Moonless Night - Snowapple Collective - at de Roode Bioscoop

A Moonless Night is set in a dimly lit bar where lost souls gather. Snowapple’s work is never easy to pigeonhole – and A Moonless Night is no exception. It is a genre-defying musical art project. The extraordinary film moves effortlessly between different art forms: from poetry, macroscopic images of objects, dreamy landscapes and music to ecstatic play. Watch the trailer here.

It reminds many of the work of Fellini, David Lynch or Tarkovsky. But then made by three idiosyncratic women, of whom Nora Tinholt and Laurien SHE Snowapple from Amsterdam and Eva Schumacher from Paris.

After the film, the directors will be present for a discussion. Before the film, you will be surprised with music and poetry from the film by the many talents that the Snowapple Collective is rich in.

Fun fact: The film is largely inspired by the Roode Bioscoop, where Snowapple has played a lot over the past few years.
