In a setting full of surprising perspectives, five men with black bowler hats appear from all angles. Without exchanging a word, they are each other's counterpart, complement and opponent. Man with Hat
In 2009, the intimate festival performance Man with Hat was already called a gem at Dutch festivals (including the traveling festival de Parade). Belgian and Dutch theatres beckoned. Man with Hat premiered again in 2016 as a full-fledged theatre performance in the Schuur in Haarlem.
With a new cast, again the scenography as an ode to artist and 'anarchitect of the seventies' Gordon Matta-Clark, but also with the same successful ingredients: cinematic effects, weightlessness and unexpected jumps. The reviews were rave!
