Kate Barron is a multi award winning stand-up comedian, podcaster, and writer.
Originally from Vancouver but now based in the UK, recognised as one of the fastest rising talents by extensive Canadian media outlets including the Toronto Star, Kate's comedic prowess has taken her to renowned events Montreal’s Just For Laughs and SirusXM Top Comic Canada. Notably, she made history by becoming the first woman to clinch victory at Toronto’s notorious Comedy Brawl, triumphing over 400 fellow comedians. In 2022 her solo show Losing Myself at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival was secured the Best Debut Show accolade from Entertainment Now.
Mary is a hugely talented writer-performer. She sold out her Edinburgh Fringe debut last year with the critically acclaimed show ‘Money Princess’. Winner of the Only Fans Comedy Creative; Funny Women Awards runner-up, Mary’s broadcast credits include; Comedy Central Live, BBC Presents: Stand Up and for Live Comedy.. She has supported Tig Notaro and appeared on The Guilty Feminist podcast. Mary has written for The Now Show (BBC Radio 4).
