/Kroegcollege: On Ecocide

About the Ecocide with room for Q&A

We notice that people often feel overwhelmed by all the information in the media about current political and social issues, and struggle with how to interpret the debate or how to take action.

To help with this, we are introducing a new series of programs, called /Kroegcollege. The evening will focus on a social phenomenon, with experts sharing their insights. And afterwards, you can discuss and socialize while enjoying a drink.

On April the 25th, /Kroegcollege #2 will be organized: On Ecocide. During times of global warming and environmental injustice, we think it is important to start a conversation about ecocide. In SK4, from 20.00 till 21.00, Judith Alkema (Stop Ecocide NL) will facilitate a short lecture about the legal and environmental context of ecocide, who we can hold responsible for it, and how. There is room for questions and/or discussions.

I’m Judith Alkema, a legal advisor and political campaigner associated with Stop Ecocide Netherlands. With my background in law and environmental science, I have a deep sense of responsibility to put my skills to use for a fairer and more just society. I firmly believe that ecocide legislation can make the necessary impact in creating a better and liveable world. That’s why I am committed to doing whatever I can to implement this legislation at a global level. “Change the world, one law at a time”.
