Boaty Boat Hire offers two types of boat for rent: completely open boats, and partly covered solar boats. Both types take a maximum of six passengers, and are really easy to drive after a short personal instruction. So there’s no need for a licence or any boating experience.

The boats can be rented for three hours, four hours or a full day. Prices start at just €79 all-in for a three hour rental. Your boat hire includes all you need: fully charged batteries, foam seats, taxes and insurance, life vests, a personal instruction, and a large custom made canal map with suggested routes and highlights to look out for. 

Boaty Rent a Boat is located on the southern side of the Amsterdam city centre. Our dock is right next to Hotel Okura and close to metro 52 station 'De Pijp'. We are also within walking distance from the Museum Quarter and the Heineken Experience and close to the Amstel river, which leads directly onto Amsterdam’s most beautiful canals.
