Last Thursday, 11th April 2024, Geerte Udo, director of amsterdam&partners, received the Frans Banninck Cocq award from Amsterdam Mayor Halsema. Udo received this honour on the occasion of her departure as director of amsterdam&partners.

Last Thursday we joyfully said farewell to our director Geerte Udo at Felix Meritis, Amerpodia in Amsterdam. It was a beautiful and surprising evening filled with various performances and speeches.

'It was more beautiful, loving and surprising than I ever dared to dream,' said Geerte Udo.

We enjoyed performances by the Horizon Quartet, the Bjørk Semey Trio of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and John Agelisas's Foundation Amsterdam Hip Hop Center.

We would like to thank all speakers. Oswald Coene, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, for his welcoming words. Signe Jurgenstad who spoke to Geerte in a humorous way from abroad and thanked her for her contribution to international city marketing. Former director of amsterdam partners Frans van der Avert and Judikje Kiers, director of the Amsterdam Museum, who gave a fantastic performance, with contributions from Tanja Dik, Lieke Westendorp, and Geert ten Dam, Peter Kentie, Marco Esser, John Olivieira-Siere, Petra Stušek, Christian Lunde, and Fred Dixon. Finally, our colleagues Adil Abbach, Managing Director of Hospitality & Products, and Sandra Poelmann, Managing Director of Contents & Campaigns for the excellent moderation during the event.

As the icing on the cake, Geerte Udo received the Frans Banninck Cocq award from Mayor Femke Halsema in recognition of her exceptional dedication and the invaluable role she has played in promoting the interests of Amsterdam and the Metropolis.

On behalf of all colleagues, partners and relations of amsterdam&partners: Geerte, we will miss you!
