ADE: Many More Presents: Toy Tonics Jam ADE Special 2024

On 19 October, the Berlin-based label Toy Tonics returns for their third ADE special. Founded in 2012, Toy Tonics is known for its focus on musical quality, diversity, and positivity, with sounds rooted in soul, afrofunk, and italo-disco. The event will also be presented by the Amsterdam-based creative collective Many Møre, who will host the second room.

Troupe Courage / Alaa Shehada  - The horse of Jenin - premi��re

In 'The Horse of Jenin', Palestinian actor Alaa Shehada intertwines his personal story with the symbolism of a huge statue of a horse, made from the rubble of war in his hometown of Jenin. The horse, a powerful symbol of freedom and resilience, was taken by an Israeli bulldozer, prompting Alaa to ask questions: What happened to the horse? Through humor, imagination and raw honesty, Alaa sketches a life of struggle, growing up and surviving in Palestine. With a combination of stand-up comedy, storytelling, music and masks, the performance not only brings to the fore the pain and difficulties of an occupied territory, but also the power of human ingenuity. On 19 October at Boom Chicago, the legendary Club NL makes a special one-off ADE reunion appearance curated by Casa Productions. Club NL, a beloved Amsterdam venue for over 25 years before its unfortunate closure, will be hosting a second, intimate room at the Selador ADE party. Many of the club’s former resident DJs will perform, bringing the classic Club NL sound and decor to life once again. Selador artists, who have played at Club NL over the years and hold fond memories of the venue, will also be part of this special event.
