Theatrical try-out concert in Splendor for those who dare to wander. Mezzo-soprano and theatre maker Isabel Pronk (finalist Dutch Classical Talent 2024/2025) takes the audience through a night in which a main character feels for the first time in ages what loneliness and darkness are. Who are you when no one is looking? What is important when no one is looking? And who is there despite the fact that you think no one is looking?

With lyrics written by writer Amanda Payne and accompanied by a piano trio that has its own place in the theatrical story. With music by Astor Piazzolla, Kurt Weill and Michel van der Aa. Especially for 'Als het donker wordt' Sarah Neutkens composed a new song cycle that will form the dead of night. A special concert about loneliness, strength, vulnerability, togetherness and returning to (your own) light.
