For Indian food in a modern interior, go to restaurant Mayur and its adjacent lounge bar Mayur Delight in the quiet part of Korte Leidsedwarsstraat. Mayur opened its doors in 1981 as one of the first Indian restaurants in the Netherlands.
North Indian specialties
The Sharma family has been serving traditional North Indian specialties for years. Meat sits in a spicy marinade for 24 hours before it goes into the tandoor (wood oven). The only western elements are the extensive wine and champagne list and the velvet and wood interior.

It's all possible. Mayur serves special menus for groups with dietary requirements.
