About Alex Baradel

Alex Baradel (France, 1973) is a leading art historian and film expert. Since 2001, he has managed the photo collection of the Pierre Verger Foundation, where he was responsible for the digitization and organization of the collection.

Baradel has curated several exhibitions on Pierre Verger, including Pierre Verger, de um mundo ao outro (Salvador, 2011) and Pierre Fatumbi Verger – The One That I am Not (Museum Cobra, 2024). He also created audiovisual works for exhibitions and in 2016 founded the Espaço Pierre Verger da Fotografia Baiana, a permanent space for Bahian photography.
