The Ascension Day Service used to be part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. The Military Drinking Water Supply was located in the main building and in the outbuildings. In the event of an attack on Amsterdam, this could be put into operation to provide residents and soldiers with drinking water.
Since 1989, the buildings have housed the artists' residence .
The exhibition consists of texts, photos and videos and can be seen in the restaurant from 13:00 to 17:00. The guided tour is at 15:00.
