Record Attempt for Small Boat License 1 with 750 Participants
Amsterdam will celebrate its 750th anniversary in 2025, and that's a reason to party. As part of the festivities, there will be an attempt to set a record by having at least 750 people take the Klein Vaarbewijs 1 (Small Boat Licence 1) course. This event will take place on Saturday, 11 January 2025, at the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam.

What will you do?
In the Klein Vaarbewijs 1 course, you will also have theory-on-the-boat sessions. You will go on the water for 3 hours in small groups to practice all the components of the Klein Vaarbewijs 1: right-of-way rules, traffic signs, buoyage, technique, and safety. Since it's winter, we'll be using enclosed motorboats in Amsterdam in the weeks immediately following 11 January. We will sail with various boats simultaneously, so there is room for everyone. After this, you can take the exam quickly and easily with our 92% first-time pass rate!
We are making an official record attempt by gathering at least 750 people on 11 January at the DeLaMar Theatre.
