Vibrant cultural hub in the Bajesdorp building
GOND is a new breeding ground, with a theatre, studios, a canteen and gardens. GROND is also a collective of artists, composers, chefs and other creative minds. From September onwards, it will be buzzing with cultural activities, and you can now take a look at this cultural hotspot.

About the Bajesdorp building
Not so long ago, Bajesdorp was the name of a group of squatted houses near Spaklerweg metro station. From 2003 onwards, squatters lived and worked here for years in houses built for the prison guards of the 'Bijlmerbajes'. These have now been demolished, and a new district has been built in their place: the Bajeskwartier.
The spirit of Bajesdorp rises like a phoenix from the ashes in the Bajesdorp building named after it: it is a new place for experimentation and solidarity.
From September 2024, GROND will organise concerts, performances, workshops, film evenings and other cultural activities here.
