This concert is part of Hemelbestormers. At Hemelbestormers we welcome the new generation of up-and-coming top musicians, each with a unique, fresh look at music. With groundbreaking plans, these musicians breathe new life into music, from ancient to contemporary, in their way. The Hemelbestormers do not shy away from breaking new ground and presenting surprising concerts. These are the concerts where you can later say, I was there!

Benjamin Kruithof

Benjamin Kruithof was brought up with music from an early age. His father is a violist, and his mother is a violinist. Benjamin Kruithof steadily built up his repertoire. In 2020, he was the winner of the National Cello Competition. Tonight, Kruithof plays his arrangements of vocal music by Brahms. Two other young Dutch people accompanied Benjamin during this concert: Noa Wildschut and Nikola Meeuwsen. The three perform Schubert's 'Piano Trio in E flat', a mature and original masterpiece.

'Jonge Nederlanders'

The series 'Jonge Nederlanders' presents home-grown talent. The musicians who appear in the Small Hall, perform works that are close to their hearts, notes that challenge not only the players but also the ears of the listeners. In addition to the largest compositions from the repertoire, there will be arrangements. You will hear music from all style periods, from Baroque and Romanticism to current affairs. The Young Dutch people make an appearance in exciting and varied programs.
