Cavolo Nero - Melkweg
Cavolo Nero was created out of a love for Afrobeat and groove-oriented music. With inspirations such as Nu Genea, Khruangbin and Jungle By Night, this six-piece from Utrecht plays psychedelic grooves combined with indie and disco elements. Expect a lot of energy and the urge to dance to catchy rhythms.

Seaweed
Since the release of their debut single 'Seaweed' in 2022, the band has performed at places such as Mañana Mañana, Valkhof Festival, Bevrijdingsfestival Nijmegen, in Paradiso Noord and in a sold-out Cinetol during their EP release. For example, they participated in Popronde 2022, played over 50 shows in their first year and started 2023 with a spot on Noorderslag.
Touring
The latest single was released in May 2023, the starting signal for a beautiful summer. With more than 30 festivals, including Wildeburg and Zwarte Cross, 2023 also promised an excellent summer for the band. Cavolo Nero's new EP will be released in early 2024, and the band will tour the country. A show at the Melkweg should, of course, not be missed!
