Club Kazoo presents Grammy winner Ted Russell Kamp

Friday 15 November will be a memorable evening at Club Kazoo. Some greats have already performed at Club Kazoo - Spinvis, Lilian Vieira, Flip Noorman, Gregory Page - but we haven't had a Grammy winner yet. Bassist and singer-songwriter Ted Russell Kamp will be playing the Tolhuis flat with his band, together with bluesman 'Big' Bo Brocken and singer-songwriter Jaap Boots. Not to be missed!

A Grammy winner in Club Kazoo!

The special thing about Club Kazoo is that they regularly give carte blanche to someone from pop music for their programming. On Friday 15 November it is pop journalist and radio producer Marc Stakenburg (known from Leidsekade Live and Music Trails) who has put together and presents the Kazoo evening. A man with enormous knowledge of music and many connections with musicians. And then it can happen that a musician who has won a Grammy award and has been in Rolling Stone comes to play in Club Kazoo all the way from Los Angeles!

Under the title Stakenburgkade Live, Club Kazoo presents a wonderful, versatile evening of music with not only Ted Russell Kamp & band, but also performances by Europe's best bluesman 'Big' Bo Brocken and the idiosyncratic singer-songwriter Jaap Boots.

Ted Russell Kamp is an acclaimed producer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist with Dutch roots and one of the most sought-after bass players in Los Angeles. He is known for his honest lyrics, compelling melodies and professional musicianship. Think of nods to The Band, Leon Russell, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. Club Kazoo receives visits from the most sought-after bass players in Los Angeles. Since 2004 he has been the permanent bass player in Shooter Jennings' band. In 2020 he shared in a Grammy Award for his musical involvement on Tanya Tucker's album "While I'm Living".

It will be a unique evening in one of the most beautiful halls in Amsterdam. Don't expect an average concert, it will be an exciting evening with surprising collaborations. That is what Club Kazoo has patented.
