The concept was clear from day one: no fake mustaches, no silly outfits, or imitated gestures. Heck explains: “A few years ago, the Dutch Beatles tribute group The Analogues invited me to join them for a few days in Liverpool. There, the band showed that they could get incredibly close to the sound of The Beatles. Top musicians who truly understood the DNA of the original. That’s when it clicked. This was the path I wanted to take with Crazy Little Things.”The success came quickly. Crazy Little Things was the first band invited to participate in the successful TV show Battle of the Tributes. However, Crazy Little Things politely declined the honor. Heck explains: “We were just about to start our first theater tour, Queen: The Story. We had already mapped out our own path.” And what a path it turned out to be! Within a year, the Queen tribute band filled one venue or festival tent after another. They performed at Paaspop three times in five years, easily filled the major pop venues in the Netherlands, and have been touring the country’s largest theaters for over three years without interruption.
