Destiny: soloconcert van Babak Maddah
Babak Maddah
Hailing from southern Iran, where influences from the African world and Persian/Arab/South India can clearly be heard, Babak Maddah shows on his CD Destiny, released last year, how that combination works out: a balanced sound in which influences from different traditions and jazz come together in an organic way.
Babak Maddah graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory and played with various musicians, such as Ibrahim Maalouf and Brice Wassy.
Afterwards, the bar on the 6th floor will be open and you can of course buy Babak's CD and have it signed. More information: www.babakmaddah.com
