Frank Martin: Dubbelkorige Mis

The double choir mass for choir a cappella, which the Swiss composer Frank Martin wrote in the 1920s, was not performed for the first time until forty years later. Martin stated the reason with the winged words, which are quoted as often as his composition is performed: 'It was a matter between God and me.'
