Heartworms
The gothic post-punk of Heartworms, named after the album of the same name by The Shins, draws inspiration not only from The Shins, but also from icons such as The Clash and Siouxsie and The Banshees. Behind this emerging name from the British post-punk scene is Jojo Orme. With her fascination for military history, she creates dark, goth-inspired post-punk full of raw guitar licks. The London musician will perform at the Melkweg. NB The end time mentioned is an indication.

A Comforting Notion
Her debut EP 'A Comforting Notion' was created on the idiosyncratic label Speedy Wunderground, with none other than Dan Carey (known from Wet Leg and Fontaines DC) behind the buttons. According to 3voor12, Heartworms is 'the coolest band of the moment on enthusiast label Speedy Wunderground'.
