Henn
The music of Australian singer-songwriter Henn combines narrative flair with the candid nature of a conversation between good friends. Inspired by the timeless lyricism of Randy Newman and Joni Mitchell, Henn writes songs that are lived-in yet never predictable. His lyrics are somewhere between fictional worlds and confessions.
Intimate concert in Roode Remise
Taking the birth name of his grandfather, a refugee from Estonia during the Soviet occupation, Henn returns to his musical and personal roots.
While stuck at home during the lockdowns he picked up a pen and paper and what started as a distraction quickly became an obsession. After this period of isolation he began performing his songs for audiences in Australia. This journey took him halfway around the world to Amsterdam. In November 2024 he recorded his debut album, which is set to be released later this year.
For this intimate concert in Roode Remise he will be accompanied by Chaerin Im (piano/synths) and David Gram (pedal steel), with whom he will perform the songs from the upcoming album in a stripped-down setting.
