Emergency solution
It has been four years since Marie Van Uytvanck and Amber Piddington, together with Kids With Buns, first performed on stage during the preliminary rounds of Sound Track in 2019. What was initially an emergency solution (the guitarist with whom Marie was going to participate in the competition had cancelled due to illness) went so well that the two decided to form a band from now on: Kids With Buns, based on the Gorillaz song 'Kids with Guns'.
In 2020, they were in the semi-finals of Humo's Rock Rally, one of the most important music competitions in Belgium, and since then, the hearts of our southern neighbours have been conquered forever. Their freshly released debut album 'Out of Place' is inspired by artists such as Nick Drake, Ben Howard and especially Girl in Red, and is a bit heavier than the bedroom pop they mainly made so far.
