After five successful world tours, KOKOKO! collectively back in a new form! The current formation consists of producer Xavier Thomas, better known as Débruit and the self-proclaimed 'seigneur de l'ambiance' Makara Biance.
Raw sound
KOKOKO plays on homemade instruments! raw afrobeats, hypnotic dance and steaming jazz. The duo's music serves as an outlet for their frustrations and anger about the current situation in their home country, Congo. With their raw sound they function as the soundtrack of a radical movement that strives for an improved future for the capital Kinshasa.
