Lapislázuli
Curious about Spanish and Mexican music and poetry from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and about popular music from Spain and Latin America, Mexican violinist Fátima Hernández and Spanish harpsichordist and pianist Isabel Negrín founded Lapislázuli in 2024. With this program in Café De Roode Remise, Lapislázuli creates a sense of longing for a faraway land.

Lapislazuli
The precious stone Lapis Lazuli is prized for its dramatic color, reminiscent of a starry sky. When ground into powder, this stone provides the richest blue tones in the greatest paintings of artists such as Vermeer or Da Vinci.
Armed with rich colours and their friendship, this name Lapislázuli, proved to be fitting in the debut concert of Mexican violinist Fátima Hernández and Spanish harpsichordist and pianist Isabel Negrín.
