On November 18, 1993, Nirvana took the stage at Sony Music Studios in New York City, where they played a set that would go down in music history.

In addition to their own work, they also played covers including David Bowie's The Man Who Sold the World, which fit seamlessly with the tone of the rest of the show - stripped down, raw and emotionally charged.

Frontman Kurt Cobain's voice was on top form and his performance was filled with a sense of vulnerability and pain that has always been the hallmark of his songwriting. Sadly, this Unplugged performance would be one of Nirvana's last. Just 5 months later, Cobain took his own life.
